Our Commitment: Safety, Quality & Continuous Improvement

|
Commitment:
At VCI Construction, safety starts at the hiring process where potential candidates have to pass an extensive background check and thorough substance abuse screening. Because keeping our employee's safe is our top priority. It is important that we choose the right candidate to fill our position. Successful candidates must then attend OSHA 10 hour training course before they
even begin work in the field. At our corporate office in Upland, our
safety instructors provide regular safety training classes, with topics ranging from State and Federal requirements to the highly specialized safety training required for certain job classifications.
Quality:
Whether it is a simple construction project, or an environmentally
sensitive complex task, VCI Construction has the expertise to
accomplish the task both efficiently and safely. Safety goes beyond
personal injury. Respect for personal property and the environment is
also part of an effective safety program. Our managers receive ongoing
safety training on dig alert policies and we have adopted more stringent
methods of locating utilities in order to minimize exposure to both
injuries to our employee's and resident discomfort. We know what we are
doing! If the project requires excavation of a 30 foot deep trench,
placing 200 foot pole for a cellular tower, placing conduit under a
bridge 200 feet in elevation or just rewiring an entire city for a new
advanced cable television service, rest assured VCI Construction can
complete your project safely and on schedule. Our advanced technical
and safety training programs ensure all employee's have the tools and
expertise necessary to stay competitive in today's heavily regulated
construction industry.
Compliance:
VCI Construction has adopted an aggressive approach to safety.
This means recognizing and rewarding exceptional (through incentives)
and correcting (through training and discipline) unacceptable safety
behavior. Each one of our supervisors must thoroughly audit each of
their foreman's job sites at least
two times per month. This ensures all safety deficiencies are
identified and addressed prior to exposing an employee to injury or the
general public to danger.
Our commitment to the safety of
our employee's is evident in our in-house training program. Our
training program meets all initial certification and refresher
requirements governed by both Federal and State Occupational Safety and
Health Administrations (OSHA). |
